Ah yes, the checkered short. The be all end all of love/hate in the wide world of short pants. Personally, I think that short pants work almost better than long pants when paired in the Summer. Remember when Our Legacy briefly flirted with those thigh-skimmingly high shorts? Denim shorts are a frightening proposition.

Switch the fabric to a summer weight chambray (a blog favorite, right?) and remove the 5-pocket style, and you get a handsome short.

My friend Ish and I took a poll during our Cinco de Mayo celebrations yesterday to ask women which they preferred on men: board shorts or above the knee. To be honest, I am unsure of what the poll results were due to my inebriated state. With that said, board shorts will be shown now from the Imperial Motion company. They’re lacing technique on their “Tight and Right” series will appeal to many. “IM has developed a technique of lacing which runs the drawstrings through the entire waste band, allowing the shorts to tighten to an exact fit with no additional fuss from Velcro or buttons.” I personally vote for non board shorts for day to day. OK, third time is a charm. Another pair of sweat shorts. You all just loved the last two sets we put up. KZO’s Gibson shorts may work for you. “A soft pair of sweat-shorts with buttons at the hem for a slight taper option. Zip pockets, key hoop hardware and drawstring waistband.” Now, at 165$US (from ODIN) they may still be up there for some. I personally think these may be the best pair we have found yet.
