We’ve been on the lookout for some house slippers lately. We were tempted to go the cheap route, but then we saw these. They’re an acquired taste but we feel that we (and you readers) are bawsy enough to pull them off. And yes, they are £120 – but you’ve gotta pay the cost to look like a bawse. (Herring)

Autumn is approaching. Consider throwing out your beater house shoes and slipping into these gems from the Armor Lux company of goods. The naval striped look is extended to your feet with the advantage being inside the shoe: soft fluffy wool keeps it all nice and warm. C-store has them.

Stubbs & Wootton slippers certainly aren’t for everyone. But, they have a playful nature that we can’t help but appreciate. This season they’ve teamed with star designer Michael Bastian, who collaborated with S&W’s Percy Steinhart on the “MB Seagull UK” (above). Their description reads, “the Seagull is our quintessential addition to your wardrobe for spending the summer in the Hamptons.” That pretty much sums up the Stubbs & Wootten aesthetic.

This extends to a few pairs of bold Espadrilles. Called the “Gatsby” S&W’s version comes in a brown camo and more subdued marine-blue linen.

Again, not for everyone, but they’ve a certain W.A.S.P. style worth looking at.

Well, you cannot wear them unless you like flat breads. Dadada sells these perishable loafers by R&E Praspaliauskas. they’re baked and carved into the shape of your favorite house slipper. Their bread slippers come packaged in shoe boxes (recycled it would seem). Personally, I would like a set with instruction to carve my own so I can serve it with soup. Oki-ni has stock of these split toe ninja slippers from Ikitabi. Now, these are not the first split toes to make their mark on the Western footwear world. Recently, the Nike Air Rift, developed for Kenyan runners, received much love from sneaker aficionados in the UK and in small pockets of the USA.
