Adidas have just released the video look book/mood film to their SLVR collection. We like that striped shirt the guy’s wearing. And, if you’re not into the shirt, you can just watch two pretty people walking about. It’s a win/win.

adidas previews their Spring 2011 from their SLVR collection. “For Spring/Summer 2011, adidas SLVR draws inspiration from prep classics for a collection of understated, luxurious pieces imagined in both neutral tones and bold strokes of primary color. From varsity jackets and seersucker jumpsuits to gingham shirtdresses and plaid button-downs, the collection is an exploration of ultra-clean, ultra-modern sportswear with a classic New England bent.”

Two bags from the Spring/Summer 2010 adidas SLVR collection. I’ll be the first to tell you that the purple nylon on the right is a handbag for women but since it compliments the backpack so well, I figured the woman in your life may be interested as well. “The collection is inspired by the easy way of life when you are on the road or just moving around in the urban landscape. The focus is on pockets so you can compartmentalize your things and the openings are big and easy to get to. The fabric is an oil-treated rip-stop nylon and closures are made of thick shoe laces, adding a sporty and smart feel to very practical products.” The bags should be at SLVR retailers now.

adidas SLVR opened the doors to it’s SOHO NYC store for a soft launch. As we previewed recently, the adidas SLVR collection for Spring/Summer 2009 “has a very modern Scandivanian feel to it. The subtle branding of the collection is a bonus and even though fashionable, the line looks very comfortable to wear.” The adidas SLVR SOHO store is located at 108 Wooster St in NYC. After previewing the new adidas SLVR Spring 2009 video last week, we now bring you detailed looks from the forthcoming collection via their lookbook. We’re very much excited for this new collection from adidas. The line is clearly more fashion driven but does not lose its connection to the adidas sportswear heritage. Overall the SLVR collection has a very modern Scandivanian feel to it. The subtle branding of the collection is a bonus and even though fashionable, the line looks very comfortable to wear.

We here at Selectism, were not sure what to expect from SLVR, but are very much impressed with the offering and the overall minimalist approach by adidas.

SlamxHype is reporting that that Adidas will be launching a new line in February that is somewhere between Adidas and Y-3 in terms of pricing and distribution. “SLVR will be a line dedicated to providing well made basics that are aesthetically pleasing, sporty and functional”. The new line will offer an assortment of apparel, accessories and footwear.
