For the second season already, S.N.S. Herning has produced a series of knitted pieces for Comme Des Garcons. Last season we something a little more extreme – they used neon colors on their classic naval knits. This season is more classic and they used a navy/yellow colorway on all pieces.

By now you should have realized that we love authentic goods. S.N.S. Herning falls exactly into that category, producing heavy naval knitwear since over 30 years. About two years ago the brand started popping up in fashion stores and is ever since celebrating its revival.

Nevertheless, to date, the brand still offers the very same naval crew necks that they produced from day one, just now they offer some more exciting colors.

Gram Shoes and the people behind the knitting mills of S.N.S. on the Danish Island of Jutland are looking give some shine to shoelaces. Clearly, we need shoe laces but at time, they are the long forgotten essential in footwear. S.N.S. and Gram are changing that with their collaborative handmade wool laces which will be available via Solo Normalmstorg in Stokholm starting this month (and to select retailers in the coming months).

So how they making them? A classic old shoelace machine of course. "One strand of high quality Italian virgin wool is fed through each of the two runners. With careful hands the threads are pulled through the eyes of the needles and secured on the spinner. The switch is flicked and immediately the shoelace machine awakens from it’s slumber. The finished product gives off the same rugged elegance and indestructible durability as all other S.N.S. garments. Immaculate finish, vivid colours and the perfect balance of utility and style." Gram shoes got together with Danish knitwear brand S.N.S. The knitwear experts, known for their heavy winter knits, used for many years by fishermen, have produced laces for Gram, matching their latest range of jumpers.

"In the city of Herning on the Danish island of Jutland lies the knitting mill of S.N.S. Squeezed in between two giant flatbeds on the factory floor stands an old shoelace machine all but forgotten, this collaboration is the story of how it came back to life, and how 250 pairs of handmade wool laces came about. S.N.S. x gram laces will premier exclusively at Solo Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm from September, and later be available through selected stores worldwide for a limited time only. Price €13.99." S.N.S. Herning has become one of our favorite knitwear brands this past year. Just the other day we were lucky enough to pick up some of his heavy knit scarfs, the best we have come across to date.

Yet in another limited edition for Dover Street Market London, the brand has created the Sparkling Party crewneck. The buttons are a nice detail and also look, the lines come in sparkling wool. For a special occasion the perfect piece. It is available in red/navy and also in blue/sliver.

Danish knitwear company SNS Herning has celebrated a pretty big comeback in 2007 and you just have to love their product. All knitted in Denmark, their trademark pieces are of superb quality – nice and heavy cotton.

Now the brand, after recently collaborating with Londons Doverstreet Market, got together with Tres Bien Shop. The store made a special purple/fushsia colorway of the SNS Herning button-up sweater. Limited to 9 signed and numbered pieces worldwide. Heavy knit with buttons from Danish SNS Herning. Made from 1,2 kilograms of pure new wool. The entire knit, except for the left arm, in dark purple. Left arm in strong fuchsia.
