Well grab these Mukluk socks which will blanket the foot and half calf from the far reaching blizzards and keep you comfy in the lodge. At best, someone will ask, “where did you get those?.” Each pair is individually handmade and really not a bad deal at 42$ a pair.

Edifice get everything right, with desirable coats, cardigans and now socks. The only problem is that their rather limited stockist list. But let’s focus on the positives, like the great patterns on these socks. The range of colourways is also wide enough to find a pair that match with just about any outfit. Get it if you can from Style Cruise.

The options are wide. Choose wisely.

When you walk into a Marc Jacobs’ store, you will be sure to find something for every budget. Take these 14$US cashmere ankle socks. There is really not more to tell you about them, outside of you having bragging rights to cashmere socks. Their production and sale only shows that Jacobs is a smart brander - no customer will leave a Marc by Marc Jacobs store empty handed.

Thanks to the folks at Style Savage, we’ve caught a look at a relatively new sock brand called Happy Socks. Hailing from Sweden, Happy Socks have just every pattern and colour combination you could possibly think of. The socks are manufactured in Turkey by a family who also make socks for the Belgian and Turkish army – so they’re also solidly made, as we guess socks with holes don’t go down well on the battlefield. I guarantee this is the best 3.90$US (or 3 for 10$) dollar ankle socks you will ever buy. Not that you would not want to cover you ankles this winter, but who know… you may well be into it. I show you these Uniqlo basics as an example of how even the most trivial of garments can be crafted for excellence. The mid ribbing in the sock is the secret. Unlike most socks, there is no extra support between the toes and the heel. This ribbing allows for stretching and expansion without hurting the integrity of the sock. 

I will be the first to admit that their Fall 2008 colors are way in line with the pastel movement, but trust me on this, Uniqlo socks are the best on the market. Let’s battle.

Sock maker Falke has issued a nice collection of knitwear for the the gentle of men. Available in strong grey, navy, and red colors, the cardigans and jumper collection is made of an 82/18 wool/cotton mix yarn that makes their garments German durable.
