The Olasonic USB powered TW-S7 speakers look incredibly cute inside their egg crate packaging. At $99, they fire out 10w a channel which could be enough sound for the average laptop user. They’re plug-and-play feature is the winner here. They make a perfect gift, and again, damn cute. Think Valentines’ Day gifting.

Designer Joey Roth’s returns back to highly successful ceramic design speakers with a reboot in black. Using their new design diaphragm for improved sound, the Roth speakers look as strong in black as they do the original white. German brand Loewe launches their new SoundVision product, a Hi-Fi stereo radio and CD with iPhone / iPod dock and touch screen. Known for their high end products in the Hi-Fi segment, the new SoundVision lets you listen to your CDs, your iPod, iPhone and all other Smartphones, Internet radio and FM. Connected to the Internet, this Hi-Fi stereo with touch screen features six speakers and two subwoofers delivering an incredibly rich and precise sound. colette has it up for pre-order, with an official release coming soon.

Spar delivers a very interesting take on the portable iPad/iPod speaker with their ZEPHYR wireless speaker. The ZEPHYR even acts as a speaker phone when calls come in. A clean design reminiscent of other bluetooth speakers on the market, but with more functionality.

Having missed these when they were first released is almost embarrassing to this writer. The Davone Ray Loudspeakers may be some of the most beautiful works of sound art we have seen. The Danish made speakers are ridiculously beautiful and from the noted reviews on them, sound as beautiful. The pair will set you back around $7500. Everything is right about this set: the stands are made from tubular steel, the veneer is perfect. I’m trying to find a place locally to demo them now…

Horns. Ask anyone who is serious about reproducing that big hall sound in their homes and beyond and they will mention it. The NAGA drivers from Blumenstein are absolutely beautiful speakers which are built on this model. How do they sound?

“The front width of the speaker is exactly the width of the  fullrange driver frame… Inside the enclosure, a 12 ft. folded channel gives the driver a lot of room to breathe. Yielding a warm and omnipresent mid-range, the resulting sound seems to appear out of nowhere and transitions seamlessly into deep bass.”

They mentioned that the NAGA’s are solid for low volume playback. This we need to test, and you know we love reviewing sound.

Mocoloco turns us onto this portable boombox from Edifier. Honestly, we only posted this up because we wanted to make a reference to Fight The Power. And now we have, so our job’s done here. If anyone at Edifier wants to send one over, we’ll happily grow a high top and recreate that scene. And there isn’t a person in the world who wouldn’t want to see that.

Packed in the standard TUMI ballistic case, this travel speaker is a nice go to item for on the road music. Simply plug it into your iPod/iPhone and you’ll be rocking in your office or hotel room. Enjoy it. And do not call it a hockey puck.
