A nice editorial from GQ Russia featuring Eddie Klint and photographed by Yu-Tsai. The editorial brings a soft feel to “Easter” fashions that will work well throughout the season. Japan’s Man of Moods delivers their Spring 2009 collection. Yes, you can find MoM domestically in North America if you look hard enough. As usual, Fashionisto has the word on the collection. “Titled ‘Geometrical’,’ one would assume that the latest collection from popular Japanese label Man ofMoods would embrace shapes of all sizes and colors, but that is not the case. Last season’s “Morans” collection was all about bright colors and “M” emblems. This season, however, takes a step back with a color palette that is generally subdued. Clean space is created by basing the collection on grounding colors black and gray.”

Ah yes, Spring is upon us. The sun shines as the lovely weather comes into form, but there is still a touch of the slight breeze. A cotton jacket will do the trick. London’s Oliver Spencer brings that British contemporary look to the masses with a fine Spring/Summer 2009 collection. “Oliver Spencer carries a nautical influence this summer. The collection is rife with references to the sea, and Oli has adopted the longitude and latitude of his design studio – 51.52N,0.12W – as a signature. The push-off point is traditional fabrics and garments, which Oli has relaxed and distressed.” (Fashionisto)

Designer Soichiro Ito’s SOE line for Spring/Summer 2009 may be modeled with a school boy in mind but the casual looks are proper for the streets. The Japanese embraced the short trouser on their men seasons ago while the trickle is only now showing up in the West. A nice line of wears.

The BBlessing Spring collection pulls influence from the mysteries of the forests. “For their spring collection, BBlessing was inspired by the story of DB Cooper, his tales of hijacking, and his mysterious disappearance over the forests of western Washington.
