Selectism - Umit Benan Spring/Summer 2010

Milano’s Umit Benan drops a proper Spring 2010 collection that allows for the casual man to interact with clothing that fit well, and looks great without the overbearing presence of Northern European influence. “Umit Benan has envisioned a life in Cuba observed through the lens of Slim Aarons – a photographer renowned for his iconic pictures of glamorous and wealthy jet-setters in their international playgrounds. Umit Benan sees his character for this season as a stylish young Cuban businessman living in pre-revolution Cuba, in what he imagines to have been a freer and happier time.”

Colette (hello!) drops two of the more heavy side shoes from the Raf Simon’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Available in classic black leather and/or leather in “snake motif,” the Raf shoes are complements to the apparel collection which features the “snake motif” touch as well. They look bulkier than most of the trends but follow stride with lace and buckled versions. No. They’re not Fluevogs.

The Fashionisto gives us their prespective on the Spring/Summer 2010 collection from Christophe Lemaire. “Dressed in a serene color palette of whites, creams and blues, Christophe Lemaire refines his minimalist vision for the spring season.
