Generic Surplus has sent over looks at their forthcoming sneakers and deck inspired shoes for  Comme des Garcons SHIRT Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Two GS shoes were chosen:  the Mid Deck boat shoe and the Hunting Lo sneaker. Simple edits were made on both models to compliment the SHIRT collection which is inspired by a nautical look. Those changes are as subtle as enhancements on the eyelets and laces. While not out of the ordinary, they do make them unique in the GS offering.

The Mid Deck comes in a navy canvas while the Hunting Lo is a monotone canvas/suede combination in natural and navy – both with gumsoles.

Han sends over look of their new Union eyeglasses frames, which has some inspiration that we could only see coming sooner than later. The good thing is that they look great with the thick acetate. “The style is inspired by 1970’s welding glasses. The frame is bulky, but with characteristic clean Danish lines. Union comes in transparent grey, solid black and army tortoise all options with sun and clear lenses.”

Here’s a couple of styled looks from Topman showcasing their men’s Spring 2011 collection. Casual and friendly garments look to provide some with a full wardrobe or select pieces to accentuate your tastes. Better yet, use Topman as a go-to in those moments of fashion emergency – say you still a can of paint on your trousers. Then again, that is fashion. (carolines)

18 Waits previews their Spring/Summer 2011 with a unisex lookbook. While I am not a fan of over explanations on the focus of collection, I did like this one line from their release: “ It’s a way of life inspired by a joie de vivre and an appreciation of the finer things in life like an old pair of leather boots or a child’s painting.” What they’re saying to me at least is that they just make clothes. Is that a full-size of portable typewriter. I would hope portable.

Our brothers on Highsnob take a full look at the Spring/Summer 2011 from UNIQLO’s +J collection. “Today we get a first full look at the new Uniqlo +J Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, once again designed by Jil Sander. The line gets much more technical than in previous seasons and we especially like the outerwear offering. Of course you also get a nice choice of well cut shirts, knitwear, pants and some accessories. Next to the usual black, white and mud tones, you will also find some color accents in this new collection, which hits stores January 26th.”
