Spring Court’s Spring 2011 line is an abundance of new takes on their very classic French tennis line. For starters is this friendly Hawaii inspired take. The outer is a pleasant “palm tree” pattern that stands out amongst the crowd of trainers for next Spring. Will it work for all? We’re willing to bet it will.

This new series of Spring Courts stays focused on keeping it organic.  ”The Spring Court Organic Series features our line of sustainable and eco-friendly shoes. Made from 100% organic cotton and natural vulcanized hevea rubber… Absolutely no glue is used in the process, thus eliminating the use of any harmful chemicals. Without giving away too much, here are some macro views of one of our favorite sneaker co-brands for the coming year. Working with New York’s Jean Shop, the classic shoe brand builds with indigo and natural selvedge denim. It’s sort of like teaming the already classic combination of canvas plimsoll and jean together. Well, it is exactly like that and the result is clean and simple. We’re told they’ll drop early in Japan and then land in the USA soon thereafter. Shown at Project LV.

A quick teaser from Spring Court’s Autumn/Winter 2010, straight from the Project LV floor. Spring Court has a few more surprises lined up for the coming Fall. Padded tongues and more special editions among them. Price points may rise a bit but the quality is rising with it.

The Jean Shop has teamed with Spring Court on a set of trainers which take the original white canvas kicks and wash them in a variety of colored dyes. They also add in a few details including the Jean Shop pig stamped into the insole as well as burning “JS” into the back of the heel. They are available now at Jean Shop and shortly at the Bergdorf & Goodman at Jean Shop in Shop.

Just to prove to you that good things rarely change, here’s a look at some deadstock Spring Court tennis trainer boxes from the 1950’s. Not that much different than what we see today except those boxes have gone through some work. Also, note the 3 hole design (after the jump) as opposed to the current 4 hole. We personally prefer the old packaging as well. It shows a period when graphic design was still young. A great look at some of our favorite sneakers as they were back in the day. We have said it before – it’s all about the airsole in the Spring Court trainers.

I can’t get enough of the Spring Court B2 sneakers. Simply one of the most comfortable hi-top sneaker on the market. Don’t believe me? Slip a pair on and tell me that the airsole is not the first thing you notice about these perforated beauties. Killer fit and they look great. Classic and timeless.

For some reason, Spring Court collaborations always tend to come off a little too over-the-top. Sometimes with such a simple design, overdoing the embellishments can just kill the whole look of the sneaker. Resistance recently got together with Spring Court and while some of the results are a little off putting (I’m talking to you, animal print mid-tops) the gem of the collection are the ones we’ve framed above. The green and black twill is understated enough to fit into whatever your current look is whilst still being different enough from the regular springcourts to warrant a purchase. Get it from Oki-Ni.

Every once in a while a new shoe company pops up and comes with something completely new and exciting, either in the form of new technology, new materials or un-expected design.

In the end of the day, we always come back to the basics. The Spring Court B4 sneaker is one of those and the silhouette works today, just like it did many years ago. For Fall/Winter it comes in a nice premium nappa leather version in brown and black. They look great and will go with any outfit!
