As long time readers know, we love a bit of Springcourt. However, they do have a bad habit of sticking the more interesting pieces into their womens line and leaving us guys with footwear that looks washed out and depleted. This season they’ve had a bit more fun with the mens side of things, making this woollen number. Now if they’ll just make their floral trainers in bigger sizes…..(Springcourt)

The unofficial trainer of choice for one member of staff here at SL, here’s a look at Springcourt’s Autumn/winter 2011 collection. As usual, we like it, but, as usual, we like pairs from the women’s line. In fact we like them so much that we’ve decided to just post them up anyway.

As part of their ongoing collab-fest, CDG have teamed up with Springcourt on these limited edition trainers. Actually, it’s more of a three way thing, seeing as it’s part of their beatles collection. It’s nice that their collabs are so well thought out (If you didn’t know, Lennon was quite the fan of springcourts, even wearing them to his wedding). As for the shoe itself? Depends on how much you like apples. (Colette)

Yeah, yeah, we know. We feature Spring’s all the time and we’re not ashamed. We actually think it’s posts like this that make us different. At this point folks should know that we just like Springcourt. So when they do a camo version that we’ve not seen in stores, we have to highlight it.  (Springcourt)

Fact: We’re quite the fans of springcourt. Despite our extensive coverage of the brand, we’ve not seen a waxed canvas version of their trainer before. While most of Springcourt’s limited edition versions have been hit or miss – mostly miss – stuff like this is a step in the right direction (although anything would be a step up from some of the versions we’ve seen lately). If we had to be picky – and we do have to be – we’d say that we’d prefer a beige gumsole over the darker colour. That aside, it’s a great trainer for those rainy days. (Oi Polloi)

Spring’s here, the sun’s shining, so it’s time to bring those white trainers out of retirement. Our love for the air sole is well documented – and it’s a love affair that shows no signs of slowing down. A good mid-level trainer will take you from the start of spring to the heights of summer (when you be going sockless in your lows) and the price is a little higher than usual, but they’re still a long way from a bank buster. Just remember to cuff your denim if you want to avoid the ‘blue blood’ situation that occurs when quality denim and white trainers collide. (Oi Polloi)

It’s no secret that Springcourts are our favoured trainer of choice. We know Superga are the brand that’s picked up more by stores, but we feel that Springcourts are stronger, faster, prettier and more comfortable. And at 55 euros, they won’t hurt your bank balance. (Springcourt Europe)

We’re not usually fans of Springcourt’s special editions, but this one is special enough to  make it onto our radar.

The reason we like these is because they’re just enough of a twist to make these worthwhile whilst not ruining what makes Springcourts great. They also come with spare laces, which is always nice. These aren’t available on the Springcourt USA site, but the French site has an english translation and overseas shipping, so you’ll be alright. (Springcourt)
