Arne & Carlos have acheived a great deal in short time. At least, that was the perception – when their AW08 collection came out of nowhere and gathered a lot of press attention. Looks can be deceiving however, as the duo have been around for a while putting the work in. We caught up with half of the Arne & Carlos duo, Carlos Zachrison and quizzed him about the brands surge in popularity, growing too big and plans for the future. We also managed to snag some pictures of the SS09 collection, which will be available from Tres Bien soon. Check out the Q&A after the jump.

Burberry continue their forays into attracting the younger customer with this new denim collection. It’s not the first time they’ve had a denim collection, but this the first collection that looks specifically geared towards a more trend-led customer. The collection includes a light wash jean called ‘vintage blue’, another version of the light wash called ‘air force one’ and the usual navy wash.

COS is one of those stores that we’d feature a whole lot more if they actually had an online store. As is stands, COS have three stores in London, two in Belgium and seven in Germany. If you’re outside of those countries, then you’re out of luck. We’ve seen a huge amount of navy shoes this SS09 but these are the cleanest ones out. It’s easy to forget that Raf Simons still makes accessories for his own brand, given the sheer number of accessories collaborations he’s been doing lately. These square-ish bowling style bags come in a ridicously shiny (we can’t overstate this, this bag could actually be used as a makeshift mirror) patent leather and much more subdued black.

YMC have given us a preview of their SS09 collection, which is said to be inspired by the beat look of the 50’s and 60’s. From this limited showing, We’re loving the misplaced elbow patch on the cardigan and the grandad collar polo (pictured after the jump).

According to their website, Les Hommes Spring/Summer 2009 collection was inspired by trips to the Far East and Quentin Tarantino movies. For a SS09 collection, it’s surprisingly monochrome, with most colour coming from the accessories. The quirks include piping, blurred check patterns and splashes of colour.

House Of Holland has mainly moved heads in recent years with their bold t-shirt designs. As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection, the label has heavily worked with Levi’s to offer an entire denim range. 

“Perhaps Henry predicted Beverley Hills 90210’s comeback (a spinoff will be airing in America in November) as he has used the show and American youth as the inspiration for the six designs he has created for Levi’s 501. He has retained all the original qualities of this iconic jeans style first created in 1873 by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis; in a light blue denim, straight legged with a button fly and five pockets. Three of the styles are printed and three are laser-cut which feature polka dots and flower prints showing up on the inside of the jeans. It will also be the earliest opportunity to buy into S/S 09 style as these jeans will be available from the men’s ‘Superbrands’ floor in Selfridges on the 18th September, one day after the show.” Via Dazed Digital.
