We take a first look at the Steven Alan Fall/Winter 2008 collection. A lot of the details and looks that we like so much these days from Japanese brands and designers we can find again in the Steven Alan brand.

Their new Fall/Winter 2008 collection once again very well translates vintage styles into modern classics. Of course the shirts look good as usual, but also the wool vest, plaid lined pea coat and waxed winter jacket look very nice.

If you take a close look, the model is wearing The Generic Man For Steven Alan shoes, that we presented you yesterday.

The Generic Man is one of the newcomer shoe brands that we have been closely watching in previous seasons and so far we can only say that we are very pleased with their collections.

Now they got together with another favorite of ours, Steven Alan. They created a nice hybrid Fall/Winter shoe. The upper looks like a boat shoe, but instead of low in a mid size. They added a nice premium leather cover to the mid-sole and gave the shoe a water and weather resistant outer sole.

What can we say? We love it. It looks great and fulfills its purpose. The shoe comes in suede and will be available in navy, black, green and grey (we do not have an image of this colorway).

Men.style brings us the first looks for the new Lark and Wolff line by Steven Alan for Urban Outfitters. "His new line for Urban Outfitters—sold under the nom de fast-fashion Lark & Wolff includes button-downs, pants, and T-shirts. Best of all, they’re priced for tough times: Items retail for between $58 and $128."

Look for them around Jul 4th.

New York Magazine is reporting that Steven Alan has inked a deal with retailer UrbanOutiftters to design a new in-house lines called, Lark & Wolff. "The store owner-designer has just inked a deal with Urban Outfitters to do a new line (read: not diffusion) called Lark & Wolff. … the collection will feature both men’s and women’s clothes, and have a decidedly rustic-country-sure-I-know-how-to-camp bent. The aim is to draw in a younger customer than Alan’s current line, and the collection will retail for $58 to $128."

The line is expected to drop in Urban outiftters in the USA on July 4th.

Rejoice. Steven Alan is not just New York’s no mo!

Refinery 29 reports today regarding Steven Alan’s store opening in Los Angeles. Residing the same hood as Maxfields and the Varvatos shops lining West Hollywood. “Alan’s signature lived-in style has a place all its own in the new warmer climes. He describes his own in-house label as ‘disheveled perfection,’ a look that seems right at home in his new more relaxed digs” reports Refinery29. His second West Coast store in Venice Beach is also set to open next month.
