A look inside Ben Sherman’s revamped store on London’s Carnaby Street. This time they’ve gone all fancy-pants. There’s a window conveyor belt that can be controlled by passersby, a ‘Shirting Bar’ where experts will find the perfect fit and style for each customer and plenty of gadgetry and olde world-y shop fittings to let you know that these guys mean business. Take a look.

lanvin milan shop opens 5 Lanvin Opens Its First Italian Store in Milan

I would have never guess that Lanvin did not already have a stand-alone shop in Italy. That’ all changed though. They’ve announced the opening of their first Italian store by way of Milano. “Lanvin anounces the opening of its first Italian store in Milan, in the famous Quadrilatero della moda… This one occupies the ground floor of a beautiful hotel particulier with character, of more than 100 square meters, at the corner of Via Della Spiga and Via Santo Spirito, both Milanese luxury temples.” Find them at Via della Spiga 25, Milan.

New Marc Jacobs Aoyama Flagship in Japan

There is something appealing about the standalone nature of Japanese flagships. Their vertical rectangular forms stand out as they should. Marc Jacob’s latest on Aoyama is stunning in detail both inside and out. Stephan Jaklitsch Architects took the helm on this work. Check the special edition MArc Jacobs t-shirt issued for the launch in our gallery. (houyhnhnm)

barker black losangeles shop 7 Barker Black Boutique Opens in Los Angeles

Barker Black expands their U.S. presence to the West Coast with a new shop in Los Angeles. The brand, established in 1880 is beyond heritage at this point. “Barker Black shoes are created by a team of specialized craftsmen, many of whom have been working with the brand for more than 20 years. The designs, made from the finest Italian and French calf, are left on the last for 15 to 30 days, during which time the shoes are placed in a wire frame and suspended from rafters above the factory, giving each pair extended time to retain its beautiful, one-of-a-kind shape.”

Their new L.A. shop extends the brand’s presence with a destination shop that helps express the brand’s history and reach. Man, you cannot beat that old school skull and crossbones look. Find them at: 450 North Robertson Blvd.
