“Tronic was commissioned by Diesel’s 55DSL brand to create an experimental brand film for their fashion show in Italy. The film will also be showcased in their flagship stores in the US, Tokyo and Dubai. WATM reports in on the new concept store teaming Jack Spade and Jimbo the Mechanic. “Jack Spade has teamed up with Jimbo the Mechanic, Rapha cycling gear, and Landmark Bikes to create Jack and Jimbo’s Bike Shop.  The 600 square foot store will feature select pieces from the renowned Rapha cycling collection…and vintage bicycles from Landmark Vintage Bicycle Shop…The other side of the store will be filled with seasonal Jack Spade product including bags, accessories, and an edited selection of ties, outerwear, and apparel.” (photo theshophound)

Y-3 joins most of the Adidas line with a new build out inside the Paris Adidas Flagship Store with Jeremy Scott. “Adidas base camp have opened its doors to celebrate the launch of the Y-3 shop, which is located within the Flagship European store on the Champs Elysees and is home to the complete magnitude of Adidas off-shoots including Stella McCartney. Y-3’s 200 square metre chunk is deliberately minimal with an impervious monochrome finish and is on the first floor of the emporium.”

FWD is reporting that Monocle Magazine has procured new digs in Los Angeles for their second storefront with two more on the way. “The Brentwood location of The Monocle Shop at 225 26th Street, Suite 19b, will feature new collaborations between the brand and designers, like the Comme des Garçons’ Hinoki candle, a unique sweatshirt from Tomorrowland, and a high-tech running kit created with John Smedley…the brand is due to open two more stores in New York City and Tokyo in 2009.” (photo via flickr)

Amsterdam played host to Denham’s opening recently and their store has more than a few interesting features. First up is the ‘blue salad bar’. In this section customers can customise jeans styles – essentially a Nike ID for Jeans. You can choose colour, leatherwork and stitch options. The jeans are then made by the owner, who assembles them within 7 days.

B Store recently had a window installation to showcase their new Casio G-Shock collaboration. The collection, titled ‘Tokyo Calling’,  is only available at their Saville Row store. According to B Store, the Installation was:

“inspired by the aesthetics, functionality and purpose of G-SHOCK and uses a series of research grade ripple tanks to create a unique triptych of physical systems, each interacting with their surroundings in a different way.”

Men.style reports with a sneek peek of the new Kiton Shop within Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. “or obvious reasons, this might not be the best time to open up an ultra-high-end menswear store, but in fairness, Saks’ new Kiton shop-in-shop was years in the making. The 2,000-square-foot location, opening today, offers exclusive shoes, swimwear, and sunglasses, as well as those already famous $7,000 suits and $800 jeans”

Dazed reports in on the latest pop-up store from YSL. “Forward thinking and innovative, YSL is a fashion house a step above the rest. As the first couture label to introduce a luxury prêt-à-porter range to its repertoire, YSL is now raising the bar with Stefano Pilati’s “Edition Unisex”.  From the iconic “Le Smoking Suit” in the 1960s, YSL has always pushed the boundaries of traditional gender paradigms in fashion and. Richard Chai is the latest designer to take over ODIN’s single brand concept shop, DEN, in NYC. “The Den space reflects a minimal and architectural approach, one that parallels the Richard’s design sensibility.  The installation will carry a large part of his Men’s Spring 09 collection that was presented in Paris along with some new and exclusive pieces cut specially for the store.  In addition to the men’s collection will be a small capsule of Richard Chai womenswear, which features such signature design elements as French seaming, arc details, and refined tailoring. Also showcased in Richard’s installation will be the artwork of his friend, artist Daniel Peddle. His collages, created from found and recycled papers serve as the backdrop for the store.”
