Coggles have been snapping the good folk of London for some time now. While street style blogs currently take up *27% of the internet, it’s nice to see a little more in-depth investigation into the more stylish subjects.

With that in mind the store set about picking their favourites for a series of skillfully shot films. We’re introduced to the well dressed Olubiyi, a student at Central St Martins whose work is heavily influenced by his hero Jean-Michel Basquiat. Film director Terry Hall catches the man at work.

Tommy Ton On Them Streets

Selectism - tommy-ton-01

We don’t usually post up pictures of street style, but we had to make the exception here. Plus, everyone knows Tommy Ton’s name but how many know how the man dresses? Mister Mort thought enough of his looks to post up three of his outfits and here’s our favourite. We’re quite the fans of that wool biker jacket he’s got on. Kudos points if you can see the edge of the Sartorialist, who’s jacket is just a little smedium for our tastes. (Mister Mort)

Selectism - tommy-ton-pitti-08

GQ have sent Tommy Ton, of Jak and Jill fame, to cover the menswear street style at Pitti Uomo. As to be expected from the Sart’s favourite destination, there’s more gentlemanly inspiration than you can shake a walking stick at. We’ve included a few of our favourites after the leap and you can view the whole thing here.

Jake Davis Test Shots | Street Etiquette

10 February 2010, 11.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

Jake Davis’ look into the the style of folks in and around NYC continues with a look at Street Etiquette. We’ve been long time followers of SE (check the archives if you think we’re faking the funk) so it’s always nice to get a 360 degree look at the duo.

Take a leap to see the other half of SE in action.

GQ | Tommy Ton shoots Milan street style

selectism - gq-jak-and-jill-01

Whilst we’ve been checking up on US GQ less since the death of Men.Style, we couldn’t help but notice they’ve roped in Tommy Ton, of Jak and Jill fame to shoot street style. As he’s mostly known for his love of womenswear (and shoes in particular), we were intrigued to see what he chose. Among what you’d expect from Jak Jill (that Raf Simons coat, a coat with fur lapels) is a mixture of restrained classic clothing such as simple double breasted blazers, grey flannel suits and shearling lined denim jackets. (GQ)

Take a leap to see our favourites from his choices.
