dr martens boots fall winter 2012 23 Dr. Martens Harris Tweed, Pendleton, Stussy Autumn/Winter 2012

This is the first of two looks from Dr. Martens we’ll profile for Autumn/Winter 2012. The collection a big one and we want to ensure nothing is lost. This first look focuses on the “special ones” made with the help of both brands and textile makers: Stussy, Lochcarron of Scotland, Pendleton, Harris Tweed, A. Sauvage and more. Again, this is only part one. More shortly…

Stussy Cargo Shirt Jacket

Selectism - stussy-cargo-shirt-jacket-01

While Stussy’s technically streetwear, there’s nothing stopping you from wear a piece like this as a mid layer underneath something exceedingly smart. If we had an issue with this (aside from the fact that you’ll have to get in contact with Haven directly to get your mitts on it) we’d say that the pockets are a tad overbearing. But, nitpicking aside, we’re fans. (Haven)

Stussy for Levis and Neighborhood Denim Jacket

Selectism - stussy-levis-neigbourhood-denim-jacket

We always like collaborations like this because they always sound so overblown. We’re not sure why three companies needed to form like voltron to make this, but we do like the end result. The leather sleeves are a great touch and you’re pretty much guaranteed to look particular steezy/make an appearance on fuckyeahmenswear with this on. (Norse store)

Wilson Bros. for Stussy | Brooks Swallow Saddle

brooks stussy wilson brothers saddle front Wilson Bros. for Stussy | Brooks Swallow Saddle

The core Selectism team is obsessed with bicycles (you would have never guessed). Bikes of all types, from Surly to Colnago, we have a fleet amongst us. We are also obsessed with the heritage surrounding the Brooks Saddle Company of England. It’s not a fad, my friends. Brooks are the real deal. They may take some to break in, but that is time well spent riding.

Mr. Mittleman, design honcho over at Stussy posted some photos of this beautiful white Brooks Swallow Racer Saddle specially designed by The Wilson Brothers UK for Stussy. From the photo, it looks like they may have incorporated steel rails rather than the titanium ones that are custom on the model. We’re excited to see how the patina on this Swallow turns out after a few months of riding. Denim indigo may do it well. Killer.

More views of The Wilson Brothers for Stussy Brooks Swallow Saddle after the jump.

Stussy Leather Mad Biker Jacket

RTEmagicC stussy bikers 1.jpg Stussy Leather Mad Biker Jacket

Stussy just released a very special new piece, the Stussy Leather Mad Biker jacket. The classic biker leather jacket is made of 100% cow leather in premium quality and features a Thinsulate inslulation. They also gave the jacket a used look. All in all a very special piece that is now available in very limited quantities.

It is nice seeing Stussy taking an unexpected direction once in a while. In this case the outcome is a functional high quality jacket. Of course going into such extremes is not everybodies thing, but if you make something this special it does not have to be. The one who knows, appreciates! After the jump. more pictures.
