Maine’s Rogues Gallery serves up two varieties of their summer suits in seersucker and blue navy canvas. The seersucker comes in a choice of red or blue and is a bit more lightweight than the navy canvas alternative.

August is almost upon us but the summer is not over yet. For those looking for a truly inexpensive summer shoe to walk around in, consider the legacy of the espadrilles. Soludos in Cali is now offering their own take on the slip-on classic. Coming in at under $28 a pair, the Soludos Espadrilles keep things simple while offering a wide range of fabrics and colors to admire. Look for them in Steven Alan, Ron Herman, Fred Segal, Surf Lodge, Sunset Beach. We’re also told that Soludos will have some Opening Ceremony only styles shortly.

Sergey Nielsen, of “Close Up and Private” takes his seasonal photo editorial series to  new places with an “Art Project” series. Debuting for the Summer 2010, Nielsen’s paintings imagine the looks of this Summer through brush and canvas. Examine them in our gallery.

Kangol doesn’t stray too far from the expected with their Summer 2010 collection.

Items like the above number, with ship type print, do show a slight increase in flair, but most of the offerings stick to the tried and true. Kangol flat caps are basically timeless, and color seasonal color choice only serves to update the look for the immediate moment. For the most part, Kangol continues to offer accessible, simple, and largely safe headwear. Good stuff, which keeps well to the Kangol DNA.

The unisex frames: Rolf, Cooper,Craig And Troy offers styles for all. “The shiny silver hinge presents a nice contrast to the hand-lacquered matt black frame, and plays off the matching lenses. A new Swedish start-up is looking to put more boat/deck shoes on your feet… Deux Palmes. How do they plan on being different in this crowded market? “Our main idea is to bring more color to the classic deck shoe and experiment with the boundaries for what color a deck shoe should have. NSF drops their summer 2010 looks for your viewing pleasure. Some inspiration behind the season: “Inspired by Los Angeles beach living. With short time under his belt, Comte is looking to sway the gentleman into a new direction as his Autumn collection will show more drastically. “Our Inspiration comes from everything and anything we encounter in our daily lives and travels. Our garments are locally produced in New York, which allows us to be fully involved with every stage of the design and production process, and facilitates our unerring commitment to quality.”

Mosley Tribes have released their Summer 2010 lookbook.

The above image is an exclusive for us – the Lyndel Beaded Edition, with hand beaded arms by designer Jenny Dayco, and limited to select Oliver Peoples boutiques. Aesthetically, the frame follows the core themes of the Summer 2010 lookbook, which was shot on location in Sante Fe, New Mexico and draws inspiration from local Native American culture.

Ah yes. United Arrows JP joins the ranks of inhouse print (and we’re not talking about traidtional lookbooks). Their newly launched PAPER starts off Summer 2010 by covering their take on men’s and women’s fashon. Two different issues are presented seasonally – one for the girls, the other for the bros. Collectors of in-house print rags will need to work some magic (proxy) to dig these up.
