AR has taken shipment of the latest sunglass eyewear from the one, Tom Ford. Very classic looks in the framing and shape from the designer. A little Bond influence is felt throughout. Only the best for Tom Ford of course – all frames and lenses are made in Italy. The best.

Van Mildert of Sunderland breaks out these vintage fold-up killah sunglasses from Porsche Design by Carrera. More Scarface than Less than Zero (though I wish the opposite was true), these vintage fold-up shades come with their own pack away pouch and an authentic “Certificate of Origin” just in case that girl with their perm calls you out. Openers reports in on Ray Ban’s collaboration with Japan’s Paris Miki AU line. Paris Miki grew out of Himeji, Japan in the 30’s to become of the the largest eyewear retailers globally. Paris Miki’s computerized system perfects each eyeglass for the individual user. Their Ray-Ban collaboration is really an extension of their technology to the renowned  sunglass maker. The sunglasses are available in the “Aviator” and “Caravan.”

Tom Ford has designed the “James Bond 007″ sunglasses. The sunglasses are not only part of his Spring/Summer 2009 collection, but James Bond is actually wearing them in Quantom Of Solice” as well. The sunglasses are an upgrade from the classic flight sunglasses and are available in two colorways.

Eyewear boutique, Selima Optique, teams with J. Crew on two Rivintgton sunglass frames. Available in tortioise or black, the Selima for J. Crew sunglasses are made from rhodoid, a natural hypoallergenic material while the lenses are made from military-issue G-15 dark green plastic, the same quality used in Selima aviator glasses. Our mother site, Highsnobiety.com, worked together with Italian sunglass brand Super on a banger of a collaboration. The Highsnobiety for Super glasses have been given a classic 1940’s Hollywood look. Two styles were produced – one featuring dark glass and the other clear. The lenses in both are made by Zeiss and provide 100% UV protection. Each model comes in an edition of 50. All sunglasses are individually numbered and feature a tonal Highsnobiety logo on the arms.

The Super For Highsnobiety sunglasses will be released tomorrow at 10 Corso Como (Milan), United Arrows (Tokyo), The Reed Space (New York), Fred Segal (Los Angeles) and other high end retail outlets around the globe. We’re more than excited with the outcome of this project and you can be sure Selectism will receive similar treatments soon enough.

This season Oliver Peoples worked together with designer Kris Van Assche on the KVA sunglass range.

"KVA is a collaboration with European Designer Kris Van Assche, who is now the Artistic Director for Dior Homme. Unique technology includes a coin-edge mechanism that allows for changeable lenses (two different lens colors are included), offering the wearer greater opportunity to define his personal style. Metal inlay with the KVA logo is detailed on the top of the frame front."

The sunglasses comes in a black/white/grey and ash/gradient/mirror colorways.

After a small hint a couple of weeks ago, we can give you a nice look today at the upcoming Barneys NY Coop x Super sunglass collaboration.

The Italian brand worked with Barneys on their latest model, which was only introduced this Fall/Winter season. It comes with a thicker frame than previous models and has a certain vintage look to itself. The Barneys model comes in blue, features silver detailing on the inside. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, the glasses will be released any day now.
