SNS Herning with the help of END preview their Spring Summer 2012 offering of fine knitwear. Three garments pop out: The port sweater originally designed for North Sea harbor workers is a layering sweater meant to add that extra insulation in the coldest of times (then again these are Spring items). The classic Stark cardigan made from virgin wool and a bubble-knit texture patter has been in the SNS Herning family since 1971. The classic trim sweater is a navy cut made for rugged wear. Dig in.

Today, we head over to Europe for a taste of Italy through the eyes of Marco Ravanetti, the editor of one of our favorite sites, Men’s Reveire. We asked him to pick eight of his favorite items for the holidays; goods that could serve as gifts for just about anyone. We of course get a very discreet list what can only be seen as a very considered offering.

As Mr. Ravanetti tell us, “Yes, I do love gifts. A lot, although I don’t receive them very often. Due to this, eight, is a very tight number, therefore, I hope Jeff will allow me to cheat just a tiny bit.” Yes, sir, you can cheat.

Focussing on quality basics, the Le Berlinois Cashmere Collection consists of crewneck and v-neck sweaters, as well as beanies and scarves. Made of 100% Mongolian cashmere, all styles are offered in a series of colors, that will for sure get you through the cold winter. A lot going on pattern wise here so if you’re looking to keep a low profile then perhaps something more subdued would suit.
