Victorinox Swiss Army show us that they too are more than willing to re-imagine their iconic pocket tools for the modern consumer. Their new Swiss Army Tomo series (Japanese for ‘friend’ or ‘companion’) was designed by Kazuma Yamaguchi, who took a very minimalistic approach to the classic form by placing the toolset inside a molded rectangular handle. No compromise of the essential tools is made with the Swiss Army Tomo design; a blade, a nail file with cleaner and scissors are packed nicely into the sleek form. The Tomo is available in blue, green, pink, lemon and other colors.

ABTR drops looks at the new “New” Original Watch Collection from Swiss Army. Outside of the new colorway options, the casing jumps to around 40mm, making it 3mm bigger than the “original.” Again, the colors are what work the “New” originals. Let us know your favorite colors.

Victorinox Swiss Army is on fire right now with their product drops. The latest is this Airboss Mach 4 Watch made from a 45mm stainless casing and finished AR coated sapphire crystal for a scratch free view. It has a distinctly aviator feel to it. Wearable by the guys rocking trouser shorts on the streets as well as fighter pilots found in Steven Canyon comics. (timezone)

Victorinox is celebrating 125 years of business in 2009. This of course calls for some special releases to celebrating such an achievement. They have produced two chronographs for their anniversary. The first is the Jubilee Edition shown above which will be available to the masses in normal quantities. A second “Limited Edition” model with a red face will be available in 125 pieces. I happen to really dig the look of the “Jubilee Edition” so you’ll need to hit the jump to see the other. Both are housed in a 44mm casing and are water resistant down to 100 meters.
