Tanner Goods for Ace Hotel – Days of Heaven Bracelet

ace hotel tanner goods bracelet 1 Tanner Goods for Ace Hotel Days of Heaven Bracelet
Ace Hotel reminds us that “People have adorned their wrists with leather since at least the ancient Egypt days,” but we remind ourselves that part of the reason we have not been rushing out to get leather for our wrists recently is that many of the bracelets cuffs aimed at dudes are of barbaric width. These sophisto rounders are hand-crafted in Portland by Tanner Goods and have a mellow relief pattern of geometric diamonds to keep things interesting.

We like the more reserved proportions and are hot to assume that the name on these—engraved on the interior—was inspired by our favorite Terrence Malick film. A win-win situation. Pick one up at Ace Hotel online or at Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs during Desert Gold : Roadside Attraction, which coincides with Coachella.

Tanner Goods – Ned Ludd Market Bike

NedLudd-IraRyan-01

Tanner Goods give us a look the Ned Ludd Market Bike. A collaborative effort, Jason French, head chef/owner of the Ned Ludd restaurant in Portland Oregon, was looking for a bike that would allow him to make supply runs for the business. Ira Ryan seemed to be the obvious choice, a former courier who currently runs a small frame workshop in the area. A relatively simple idea, Tanner Goods stepped in to add a canvas carrier – the finished product also available with a front mounted bag as seen in the image below.

Tanner Goods for Holden Polaroid Camera Case

Case 1 Tanner Goods for Holden Polaroid Camera Case
As we reported here last week, one of our favorite road trip/party/bedroom accoutrements—the Polaroid SX-70—is getting polished up and put in a useful, good-looking kit, thanks to a collaboration between outerwear mavens Holden and analog saviors, The Impossible Project. Now we’ve got some details on the camera case, which is itself a little collaboration between Holden and Tanner Goods—Portland fabricators of heritage leather.

Made from domestically sourced, vegetable-tanned English bridle leather, the hand-stitched camera case should easily outlast anything you put inside it. Of course, it’s meant to hold the SX-70, and, to that end, features a special sleeve pocket for film. Close it all up with a leather flap fitted with a brass knob closure, and you should be very happy indeed.

“[This] is, in essence, everything we love about a collaboration,” Co-Founder and Creative Director of Tanner Goods, Sam Huff, says of the project. “Aside from all of us being fans of the Polaroid medium, the camera itself is one of those iconic designs that is one of our all-time favorites … While Holden and Tanner Goods create products for different markets, we both share a few important ideals: durability, utility and craftsmanship.”

Did you know? “Blaze Orange, also known as Hunter Orange or color No. 12199, is one of the few colors designed for a specific function: visibility.”  Thanks Tanner Goods. Grab yours here.
