We previewed the Timex Weekender Watch series back in August, but with the holidays just around the corners, it is well time we took another look at the incredible affordable yet gentleman proper collection of watches. Prices range from $30 for the olive, black, and grey models (shown above) to  $42 for the black anthracite face / stainless steel band version - making it very difficult to beat Timex as a choice in this price range.

Here’s two new Timex watches that will not hurt your wallet in any manner while providing very clean and step-back looks that gives at least one luxury watch maker (guess) a run for their money. The “Intelligent Quartz” T Racing flyback chronographs have a classic aviator dash board look on their 42mm facings. Recently, our friend and Columnist, Michael Williams, wrote a post discussing the common focus on “hyper” priced goods. Specifically, he discussed the Timex Camper and Timex Expedition Camper watches, which drew much attention, not only for their beauty but for its incredibly reasonable price-point (Camper at $22 and Expedition Camper at $18!) – bucking this trend.

“I’ve been wearing the Camper Expedition (which I bought on Amazon for … $18 I think) for about the last six weeks and nearly everyday someone asks me what it is. It’s amazing to me how many people comment about it. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar it is probably the most remarked item I have ever owned. This all made me think that I need to do a better job of seeing what’s in front of me”

Back in March we discussed the “field watch” Timex worked with L.L. Bean on. Today, our Berlin boys noted a 2010 edition of the Timex Vintage Field Army Watch for J. Crew. “Based on an iconic 1940s military style from the Timex archives (and only available here), we gave it a new, subtly distressed off-white dial face, Arabic numerals and an olive-toned watch strap. Like our other version, this piece is built for the trenches…”  You can have it for 150$US. (acquire)

Twitter can be a good spot to discover goodies. Time is more than limited with this special release from Timex for Japan’s Rehancer. Available mid-December, this classic Timex watch has a sporty outdoor appeal that’s perfect for the urban dweller. Large dial face numbers and a clean black nylon band make this almost too simple. If we’re reading this write, this is an extremely limited ten unit release. Tight!

J. Crew does it right, again, with this proper military inspired watch collaboration with Timex.
