The limited edition footwear from Tod’s get the Colette blue treatment on laces, sole, and stitching with all three shoes featuring black suede uppers. It is nice to see Mr. Hack in on this collection.

The iPad market takes another step in the very high end with Tod’s take on the modern day device. As Luxist tells us. “Famed Italian luxury goods firm Tod’s is offering world’s most expensive iPad case, which in this case is actually in excellent taste. The luxurious case, finished in genuine alligator, is priced at $4,900 – almost ten times the cost of Apple’s un-embellished 16GB iPad itself. The one-of-a-kind accessory is handmade in Italy from the world’s finest grade alligator skin, and will be available in brown, blue and tan from Tod’s boutiques worldwide beginning in November.”

GQ UK showcases an interesting little film “celebrating” the Tod’s line. “It doesn’t get more old school than Tod’s, the luxury Italian shoemaker that first made the moccasin sophisticated back in the Seventies. In this short film from GQ Creative Fashion Director Jo Levin and photographer Guzman, the brand takes a moment to celebrate their signature shoe with a little old-fashioned tomfoolery at Milton Abbey school in Dorset.” Dare not call it “Dead Poets.”

The great Openers Magazine highlights their favorite shoes from the TOD’S men’s collection for this Autumn 2010. They’re labeling the collection as “traditional” which is truly the case with their choice in colors, leathers, and silhouettes. Don’t worry folks. All of their new lines stay true to their original and main craft which is shoe making. Better known for their high end moccasins racing shoes, Italian shoe maker Tod’s introduces this season their new canvas sneaker. The silhouette looks similar to the Lanvin low top sneaker and many other low top sneakers from high end fashion houses. Nevertheless we like their new model, which comes in canvas with suede detailing. Tod’s has always been a brand that one could rely on in terms of quality and style. With their sneaker line-up needing an update, this new style comes just at the right time.
