Bill Amberg Ultra Lite Tote Bags

Bill Amberg Ultra Lite Tote Bags

We love the Bill Amberg line including these nappa leather ultra lite forms in various colors. The standouts in blue and brown/purple leather are distinct and pull away from the usual tote bag crowd (as do the totes in our roundup earlier). The nappa leather and beautiful craftsmanship does come at a premium. Well worth your hard earned money if you plan on running with these totes for some time. Roztayger has them.

defy bags 01 Defy Bags iPad Sleeve and First Class SM
Hand-crafted in the city with big chilly shoulders, Defy Bags are made from vintage materials with a creative attention to detail. Case in point, the body of the First Class SM bag pictured after the jump is reclaimed military canvas trimmed with reclaimed bicycle tire tubes.

The iPad sleeve pictured above is a handsome bastard crafted with the aesthetic simplicity of the thing it’s meant to hold firmly in mind. Hand cut leather is hand stitched to quite a nice effect. Available here.

sandqvist bags fall winter 2012 03 Sandqvist Duffle Bags and More... Autumn/Winter 2012

A little remainder from our roadtrip through Europe. This one from the SEEK show in Berlin. Sandvqvist shares their collection of baggage and accessories for the gents. The duffle is a highlight from the collection that while not an overachieving item, does has the touches to keep you low-key towards the end of the year. Well worth a stroll through our gallery. Scandinavia steez. We love their backdrop poster (in our gallery as well).

Pitti – Versus Tokyo – Steam and Design Tote Bags

Pitti - Versus Tokyo - Steam and Design Tote Bags

Pitti’s “Versus Tokyo” showcase also turned us onto the work of designer, Yoshihiro Nakane and the “Steam and Design” tote bags. They feature slight touches of play on the tote bag straps – look for monetary icons and Confederate sitting next to circus theme… on simple totes. Not for all, but possibly for some.

Scottie Big Bags Messenger Tote Bag

Yes, it is a big bag – a tote, in fact. Boston’s Scottie Big Bags add to the enormous list of  made in the U.S.A. tote bags with their own variant. Big enough to stuff just about anything and with a shoulder strap to boot, the bag comes in at a friendly $80. Duck canvas, of course. We love Boston.

Jojo Messenger Leonine Tote Bag

jojo messenger 01 Jojo Messenger Leonine Tote Bag

We featured Jojo Messenger’s backpack collaboration with Centre Commercial a while back. Now it’s time to get tote on this thing. Pascal Sauzet and Nicholas Goubert started the company as cyclists looking to design the perfect bag for riding around the streets of Paris. In terms of looks they’ve kept everything pleasingly simple with the occasional reference to the past. Handmade in their home town, their fabric of choice is Cordura 1100, waterproof, hard-wearing and in line with their ecological leanings. Vegetable tanned leather, heavy hardware, each tote bag is designed for comfort whilst peddling. More at Jojo.
