You know Car shoe right? They make those shoes that are usually called all kinds of sprezzy but actually make you look like a sleazy Italian pick up merchant. Well they’ve done these trainers that are actually pretty good looking. As we’re sure you know, grey trainers pretty much go with every colour under the sun, so they make a nice change of pace from your fancy shoes. (Matches)

As part of their ongoing collab-fest, CDG have teamed up with Springcourt on these limited edition trainers. Actually, it’s more of a three way thing, seeing as it’s part of their beatles collection. It’s nice that their collabs are so well thought out (If you didn’t know, Lennon was quite the fan of springcourts, even wearing them to his wedding). As for the shoe itself? We’ve always thought a high top was just a high top whether it came from Lanvin or Gourmet. We’re all about the footwear this morning. This time it’s a more casual pair of trainers from Dries. It’s more of a wardrobe-improver than a game-changer but it looks good – and that’s all we want from a trainer. It is Dries Van Noten though, so expect the price tag to reflect that. In our ongoing attempts to wean ourselves off Springcourts explore other options, we’ve taken a look at these Nike Zoom Match Classics. They’re nice and minimal, just the way we like ‘em – although the green used doesn’t really mesh with the cream colour of the shoe. That aside, we can’t fault them. Give your feet a rest and put away the shoes for a bit. You can be all sprezzywhatever another day. (Crooked Tongues)

First off, we’re not recommending this as a piece for everyday (or any day) wear. But it does looks very interesting, albeit in the ‘is fashion art?’ way as opposed to wearing it way. As the name suggests, they’ve been dipped in rubber to give them the melted effect you see above. We’re not sure whether these would hold up to daily wear but it does make for some great (and expensive) home decoration. (Farfetch)

Let’s be honest, no one’s getting this as a Christmas gift for someone else (and if you are then you must be singing this song as well). So treat yourself this December with these Lanvin high tops.
