Board shorts and trunks have always been apart of summer menswear. J. Crew shows us their take on the classic swimwear trunk. They’ve collaborated with surf salon, Saturdays, to create a classic take on the trunk shorts. A stylish piece for the beach, the shorts feature
the Saturday’s logo and is made of nylon with a velcro fly closure. The trunks come in either navy, red, or black and are available online.

Serious stuff here. Ricola gets their own custom trunks for candy. Yes, candy is now the latest of a long line of items to get wrapped in Pinel & Pinel trunks (including Krug and Brompton bicycles). 11 trunks are being built for 11 Ricola flavors: “Alpine Fresh Sea Buckthorn, Cassis, Lemon Balm, Cranberry, Eucalyptus & Plants, Flowers elderberry, Menthol, Orange Mint and Lemon Verbena,” though it should be noted that the photos show them mixing and matching flavors.  (sbt via notcot)

These shorts aren’t for everyone. We thought we’d get there before anyone else did. The ’setter’ shorts are the shortest of Orlebar Brown’s short collection, but we think that – assuming you can pull it off – they’ll look the best at the pool. We repeat, at the pool. There’s nothing more obscene than a man walking around town in ridiculously short shorts.

Orlebar Brown are a refreshingly old school company that have received a new school lick of paint. This much is obvious from the fact that they’ve got testimonials on their site when people stopped believing online testimonials ages ago. They’ve also collaborated with Monocle in the past, so if it’s good enough for the multi-accented one, it’s good enough for you. You can get this from The Shop at Bluebird or their website.
