Here’s a preview of Tsovet’s Spring 2012 line-up of watches, er, timing gauges. Made Swiss with aerospace grade parts these gauges are sure to be accurate and durable. They look like watches you could wear (or rather forget to take off) while checking equine prostates and clean with a quick and easy hose-off. We like the cool equilibrium between the minimalist faces and the rustic and/or military bands. We don’t like that they call them timing gauges rather than watches, but we also get cranky when the phone rings after 9pm.

Some new PVD: Only 25 units of the Tsovet SVT in black have been produced. At around $1800, it is on the higher end of the Tsovet price point, but well worth it: the cae is finished in stainless steel black PVD and measures in at a healthy 48mm. If you are looking to spend under $2,000 for a big, boy, this could be a proper option.

A few new styles from Tsovet. Similarly, today’s timepiece must also offer functionality and effectiveness—both trademarks of the classically styled svt-fw44. A Ronda 1014 Swiss quartz movement with eye port second hand positioned at 6 —comprised of all Swiss components and assembled by Swiss craftsmen—housed within a 44mm aerospace grade PVD black stainless steel case, along with hand-made Italian calf leather straps, provides unquestioned quality and reliability. The media-etched case and screw down crown repel environmental threats like wind and water. Night glow equipped with Super Luminova hands and dial markers complete the SVT-FW44.”

After our Tsovet giveaway, we are pleased to debut the Southern Califronia watch company’s first automatic timepiece. The AT76 is made (like all Tsovet watches) in Switzerland, and features a handsome leather strap locally sourced in SoCal.

Releasing this August, this new color scheme for the FW44 model from Tsovet also marks a new direction for the California-based watch brand. Production for Autumn 2010 and the future has been transfered fully to Switzerland in an effort to improve quality and offer the best possible movements.

We’ll be featuring all of the 2011 Tsovet collection very soon. For now, this new twist on a favorite offers something of a quick burst preview.

TSOVET drops a variety of new models at (capsule). The Field Watch (shown above) was drawing the attention of our Philly editor – with its blue hands and clean simple face.  Other models pull from marine influences as well as other big face monsters that are still trending well at the moment. The collection from TSOVET continues to mature nicely.

We first got an eye view of the new watch line TSOVET at (capsule) NYC. Our initial thoughts were that they borrowed well from other major chronomasters but once it is on your wrist you discover an alternative beauty thats ready for all. From their PR, "TSOVET is a distinctly different range of analog time instruments, integrating the styling of engineered industrial tools, motor gauges and avionics instruments, with exaggerated components to achieve unique but functional styling.  Slated for upscale specialty distribution, TSOVET uses premium Swiss quartz movements, top-grade Italian leathers, and aeronautical-grade 316L stainless steel its line. Metallurgic PVD treatments combined in unique fashion produce an array of extraordinary tonal effects, adding an additional level of distinction to the range."
