selectism - The Champions League Gets a Type Lift

For the past 12 years, The Champions League has employed a traditional serif typeface. Things are changing, as creative agency Radiant Studios charged Fontsmith to update the type on both the League logo and corporate typeface. For inspiration, Fontsmith drew from the curves of the logo’s stars, incorporating them into the final product (”a modern, slightly quirky sans serif”). This typeface comes in regular, bold, and a condensed headline weight. From now, it will work as the exclusive of The Champions League. (via Creative Review).
