Here’s a short documentary on one of our favourite brands, Uniforms for the Dedicated. Done by the 247, it takes a look at what the brands about, their creativity and what they’ve got coming up.

You’ve probably seen this about town but, in the words of someone we’re scared of, we likes it and we wants it. They’ve added shoes for the first time and the Anthem varsity jacket makes a welcome return. And if that’s not up your alley, there’s some space age imagery after the leap.

Though they span the realms of art, film and music, Uniforms for the Dedicated are, well, dedicated to clothes and they consistently create canny garments with a rebellious playfulness at their core. We spoke to Fredrik Wikholm to find out more.

We share three looks from the Spring/Summer 2012 Uniforms for the Dedicated collection. The Anorak has been worked in enviro-friendly textiles: hemp, cotton, and PET (you know, plastic bottles). Nice one. More in the gallery.

Remember that UftD varsity blazer they released a while back? They’re at it again.  This time it comes in black and beige and looks bawse. We’re gonna stay away from hyperbole this time and just say that this is the greatest varsity blazer in the history of varsity blazers. (ASOS)

Uniforms for the Dedicated is a brand that I’ve recently been following. There distinctive traits of traditionalism and modernism bring a really interesting collection. The “Ben Anas Loose Knit Mohair Sweater” is one example of the craftsmanship of this young company. The piece comes in black and is made up of 50% acrylic, 30% wool and 20% mohair. The sheer look adds to the dimensions of the piece and make it versatile between seasons. Revolve has them.

SL favourites Uniforms for the Dedicated have just sent over their latest collection and, as you’d expect, it’s a doozy. If you know UftD you should know what they do by now and that continues – no bad thing. It remains quirky enough to pique our interest but not so quirky it’s unwearable. And if you missed out the first time, that varsity of theirs makes a welcome return.

Here’s something for anyone who’s still looking for a good winter coat. We’ve been liking Uniforms, so this coat was always a gimme. It’s not a game changer, but it’s an easy addition to any wardrobe. (Grandpa)

Get all menswear, rugged, heritage and every other buzzword you can think of with this jacket. As it’s relatively light, it’s one to wear when you’re layering for mid-November. Apart from that, what else can we say? it’s a no brainer of a piece. (Coggles)

We featured this jacket back in the day (word to Ahmad) and now it’s finally out in stores. We know we’re supposed to be ‘over’ varsity jackets but, as anyone who’s noticed our desert boot obsession, when we like something we like it for more than a season. Furthermore, this is more a varsity blazer as opposed to a varsity jacket, which makes the world of difference. (Coggles)
