wedgwood desk 01 Wedgwood Angled Leg Desk

We’ve talked staplers, pencils and fancy notebooks in past posts. Well you’re going to need somewhere to store these things, no point buying luxury stationary and throwing it the back of a cupboard. This handsome desk over at Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co. is made in the USA; Portland Oregon to be exact. It takes its design cue from mid-century, danish design – all neat lines and uncomplicated form. A solid maple top is set off by those sharp walnut legs. At the front, a white drawer as well as extra storage, at the back an extra shelf to display all you high quality stamping, clipping and writing instruments.

Los Angeles’ Bumpy Pitch celebrates this event with a reminder of the great upset of 1950 when the USA upset the Brits. 60 years on and Joe Gaetjens’s goal is still with us through imagery. I love this shirt. June 12th could not come soon enough. Much love to both sides.

More looks at the Bumpy Pitch 1950 England v. USA World Cup T-Shirt and a few other shirts after the click.

selectism - Julian Plain Toe Ankle Boot

In our opinion, the Wolverine 1000 Mile are pretty fantastic. Horween Leather (yes, as Jason says, “the bloggers choice” ), Goodyear welt, and the lovely Made in the USA tag.

However, we are aware that some consumers like to go “whole hog.” Julian Boots makes their Plain Toe Ankle Boot by hand. They also are built Goodyear welt, with a leather and rubber sole, in the USA, and have a price point to match those distinctions. You can find them at Barney’s for $760.oo.
