There’s room in this world for another zipper wallet. Sure, you may be fashionable and catch the eye of the Japanophile with that colorful CdG wallet but let’s get serious – not everyone needs one. So look around for something to make you unique. Here’s a start - Property of… Jackson Tri Wallet. Simple in leather and half the price of the latter. Trust me, I love CdG, but carrying their wallets solo doesn’t make you cool. Be yourself. You can get this and the CdG at Blackbird or other fine retailers.

I’m obsessed with flat wallets. Keeping my cards (not my money) to a minimum inside my pocket is key. Bulky wallets that carry more than a women’s purse is something I avoid, so when Braithwaite sent over their sheaf style “Sunrise” wallet, I was pleased to put it through the back pocket ringer. Above is a photo I took of the “Sunrise” before use. The “satchel” leather is soft and plain but with time, will patina nicely into a deeper dark shade. The  build of the “Sunrise” allows for it house cards the long way – which keeps them flat, snug, and safe beneath the magnetic closure. Throw in the Kevlar thread that sews it all together and you have a solid quality wallet option.

An interesting leather build accordion wallet from MA+. It’s an intricately folded wallet which opens and flaps closed like origami. We would be interested in test driving one to discover how well it can handle our billfold items but $599, it is a bit killer in price. Either way, we present it to you as something of interest – without discrimination on pricepoint. Available from Komakino.

A great {ie branded bill fold wallet from Anemergecy. Made from kangaroo leather, this bill fold is waterproof (as much as a billfold can be waterproof) and includes a nice striped cotton liner and aluminum money clip. We find it rather pleasing. After giving you a look recently at the upcoming H&M x Comme Des Garcons collection, we show you today a couple of the accessories that will be released as part of the collaboration. To no surprise they are presenting a perfume and a zip wallet, both staple items in the regular Comme Des Garcons range. Matching many pieces in the line, the wallet features a polka dot all-over pattern. The scent comes with the collaborative branding and minimal packaging. Hopefully it has been produced by Comme Des Garcons – in that case hopes for a good product can be high.

Using tanned leathers cured with vegetable oils, his products have a distinct feel and look due to the tanning process. Not to mention that the leathers are usually recycled. Beat that for sustainability!
