Vim Beget, a small accessories line out of Seattle WA. presents the  Cervidae VT Wallet. A single piece of 2oz vegetable tan leather is moulded into a five compartment accordion style wallet  for cash, loose change, cards and anything else you wish to store away. The entire line has a dark, more modern feel than most handmade leather goods on offer at the moment, but there is a nod to the past with the fastening;  lift-the-Dot snaps on the front flap were originally used to secure WWII military utility pouches. Lexdray returns this Autumn Winter 2012 with new color options for the “Classified Collection” which includes the new Sao Paulo Sling bag. The Sling features a waterproof cover and interior dividers making it a safe choice for SLRs and lenses (someone test drive it and get back to us). They throw in a new wallet as well; Monte Carlo they call it. But most interesting is the Lexdray London Garment with it’s “interior shelving system” to make it easy for travelers to get into their things. Nice forward moves from the Lexdray line.

Free Man introduce us to Japan’s Southern Field Industries who make some excellent leather and canvas accessories. Founder Okada Manabu previously worked in the racehorse industry making equestrian products. He joined forces with his wife in 2008 to start a company focused on handmade quality goods. “Southern Field Industries is situated amidst hills in the Saitama region of Japan, where in a small workplace we produce handmade canvas products. File this under ‘things we’d never dream of but now want’. We’re as bored of collabs as the next person but we don’t mind when (a) they’re done well and (b) they’re not priced stratospherically. This one ticks both our boxes and could also work well as a belated gift for either sex. The wool also means that it won’t hurt if thrown at you. Present has them.

$300 wallets from the Stussy Deluxe line?

We admit this number is up there, but this expected when you do some work with the UK legendary leather works company, Ettinger. It is a surprise collaboration to be honest: how is it that a streetwear brand focused on delivery quality goods to their core clientele sees it important to work with one of the few that are granted the Royal Warranty seal?

The price point on the wallet places it even above their Master-piece backpack, which comes in at a reasonable $280. But then again, maybe we have it wrong in our heads. This could be the gift that everyone wants.Available for $300 from Stussy boutiques and online.

Document wallets are a bit silly if truth be told. Don’t get us wrong, we love them but they’re awkward to carry and end up looking a bit like a clutch bag. That being said there’s just something about what is essentially a giant’s wallet that draws us to them. You don’t have to put documents in them, in fact we’d advise against it, they’d probably just tear on the zip on the way out.

hard graft seemed to drop more products in 2011 than most accessories markers. Today they announced three new products including this Nero slim wallet made from “semi-vegetable” tanned leather, referring to the mix of leather with their wool felt. This hard graft is a slim line wallet and should break in well with age. They run $47.
