I could go and show you many of the wonderful new bags from Montreal’s WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie, including a new all-Japan produced document holder/wallet/passport holder selection… but we’ll revisit those at a later time (closer to their arrival). For now, I stick to a pair of zip-flat slippers and bracelets made from the same leathers and  zippers found on the WANT Les Essentiels bags. The zip-flat slippers are easy and the image tells the whole story. If you by chance fall into a hotel with no house slippers for use, pull these out of your packaway for a comfortable walk on tile or carpet. The bracelets are even easier: thrown one on to compliment your day look.

WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie continues to set the bar for men’s accessories. Autumn 2011 is no different. We’re looking at “Luxury” luggage at pricepoints well in range of most. Nubuck and black caviar are two new color additions to their already popular olives and cognac. Weekenders, dopp kits, and wallets are prominent items but the biggest win may be in the iPad goods. As you can probably tell, we’re quite the fans of Want Les Essentiels’ organic canvas range. We could say it’s because we’re looking out for the environment but that’d be a lie. We just want those designs at a lower price. It’s still not cheap but we all know the mantra about paying for quality. Maybe you should consider saving up some money for it? Delayed gratification can be a great thing sometimes. (Ssense)

Montreal, Quebec based duo Dexter and Byron Peart give us a new take on iPhone holder. The Newberry iPhone Case is “named after Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina.” It’s essentially a leather case with a wallet like feel to mask the phone. “Blending intelligent design with simple, sleek functionality, their line reflects the growing inter-connectivity of the modern world.” RodenGray has them.

Want Les just released a new bag entitled the ‘Heathrow commuter bag’. It’s got all that stuff (that sweet, funky stuff) that Want Les are known for – 100% organic cotton and all that jazz – and it’s got all the compartments one man could wish for. It even comes pre-packaged with Monocle Alpino and Monocle magazine. That might not be true. It’s available soon (it’ll probably drop next week at the usual Want retailers).
