Warehouse Duck Digger Shirt

warehouse shirt 01 Warehouse Duck Digger Shirt

Oh Warehouse, you really are spoiling us. Let’s not pretend we’re tired of chambray. We weren’t even going to mention the C word but it’s time to be loud and proud. The fact is it’s a really nice fabric and it’s that bit more flexible than denim when it comes to shirting. It goes with everything and sometimes, when we get together with friends and we’re all accidentally wearing our chambray shirts, we pretend we’re in an old prison movie planning our escape using our enamel gruel dishes and some hand drawn blueprints. Erm, anyway, Mr Mudd & Mr Gold will help you out on this one.

warehouse stripe tee 01 Warehouse Striped T shirt

When is a striped tee not just a striped tee? When it’s a striped tee from Warehouse of course. Ok, it’s still just a t-shirt with stripes on it but these guys know how to make even the simplest of styles just that bit more special. This one is for those afraid to get too breton on that neckline, still round enough to avoid any sailor comparisons. Find it at Mr Mudd and Mr Gold

Warehouse Dubbleworks Pocket Tee

Selectism - warehouse-dubbleworks-pocket-t-shirt-01
Here’s another one for the summer tee collection. We would wax lyrical about this but it’s from a Japanese brand and it’s got the word ‘dub’ in the name. What else can a blog ask for these days? All that’s missing is a picture of a steezy Italian fellow wearing it underneath a double breasted blazer. (Mr Mudd & Mr Gold)

selectism - Heller's Cafe for Warehouse @ J. Crew

Another interesting addition to J. Crew’s “good company” theme finds Larry McKaughan, founder of Seattle’s Heller’s Cafe, teaming with Warehouse to supply rare, one-of-a-kind treasures, to the J. Crew online shop. The pieces, only 20 in all, hit the web today. The range includes terrific collectibles like the US Mail bag above, along with vintage t-shirts and chambray work shirts from the 1930s. View the full offerings here. Fun stuff, even if you can’t get your hands on it.

Some favorites after the jump.

Selectism - Heller’s Café & Warehouse Side Buckle Work Pants

The J. Crew Liquor is now carrying these side buckle work pants from the Heller’s Café/ Warehouse collaborative line (which was established in 2008). The work pants are more in the form of turn of the century miner’s pants. They feature a candle pocket, a casual cut, and side buckles for adjusting the waist line.

LOT 484 jean by Warehouse for J.Crew

16 June 2010, 16.47 | Posted in Fashion | 1 comment »

selectism - LOT 484 jean by Warehouse for J.Crew

This month J. Crew is continuing their “In Good Company” theme with a special collaboration with Japanese denim firm Warehouse. Stamped on the custom deerskin patch, Lot 484 (a nod to the address of J. Crew’s Soho Men’s Store on Broadway), the jean follows Warehouse’s 800 series with a 14oz selvedge. The cloth has been rinsed and aged – made to mimic 50 year old dead stock denim.

J. Crew Vice President of Men’s Design, Frank Muytjens is decidedly excited about the collaboration, which follows a series of exclusive Levi’s washes produced for the fashion house. He champions the authenticity of Warehouse and the jeans feel. He excitement extends to the use of Memphis Cotton, known for it’s dramatic high and low fading. Asked about denim trends in general, Muytjens mentions the new popularity of J. Crew’s own 484 slim, saying, “People are certainly coming around to wearing trimmer jeans.”

This follows in the fit of the Lot 484 Warehouse collaboration, a slightly tapered fit you can view in full glory after the jump.

The jean will be available in a limited run at the Men’s Store, the Liquor Store, and online.
