Consider this a ‘look but don’t actually buy’ post. These Whyred boots are best suited to the early half of the spring/summer season – which, bizarrely, is still January – but they’re still handsome enough for us to feature. With all our money going on chambray jeans, sunglasses and coloured chinos we wouldn’t actually buy these now but if you’re desperate for black high top desert boots (and who isn’t?) you can get these at Whyred’s recently launched online store. The big question with a piece like this is ‘how do I wear a blue this shade?’ Let us tell you how (note: this isn’t serious so don’t start taking notes). First; don’t be scared. It’s just a shade of blue that isn’t navy – it won’t hurt. Secondly, don’t be afraid of mixing blue on blue (not that same shade of blue though) just rock it like everyone did with their chambrays and denim last year. Seeing as you asked, our favourite colour combo would be indigo denim (or navy chinos) and a cream shawl collar cardigan topped off with some desert boots (no, we’re not off them yet, we’ll be rocking desert boots for a while to come yet). Desert boots will never grow old it would seem. Whyred gets into the game with their Crayle Boot made from Italian calf-skin leather on the upper and “cuoio” soles. The color is what’s pulling me on these. A rich brown tint which will age wonderfully with wear.  Get them now at C Store.

We gave you a sneak peek at Whyred’s AW09 collection back in January, but now we can give you a better look at the full collection. The collection, titled ‘Mr & Mrs’, comprises of nylon trench coats, ankle length trousers (which we’re not sure about in winter) and a blazer armada. In fact, if you’ve been looking for a blazer, be it slim or boxy, single or double breasted, short or long – this is the collection for you.

We previewed Whyred’s AW09 collection at BBB back in January and now we can give you an up close look at their accessories range. The collection has a very modern dandy feel to it with slightly pointed canvas and leather shoes, cufflinks, pocket squares, brooches and bow ties. The ties are also pretty wide, which will be a shock to those who’ve gotten accustomed to the thinner tie.

Whyred’s A/W 2009 collection showing at Bread & Butter shows the company is pushing forward, featuring pieces that would suit anything from workwear to a tailored look. Highlights were a grey holdall, some brown brogues with some interesting cross stitching and a hooded trench coat, although the entire collection was strong. Check after the jump for more pictures.

Another great baseball/varisty jacket on the line from Whyred. Set in dark navy blue with brown trims, this varsity features some great pocket trims and brown button closures. A fine specimen worthy of Fenway or the Chicago. Get it now from Whyred online.

We like the Whyred credo: “Whyred appeals to the anti-conformist, the individual who aspires to a life filled with independent choices and a free-spirited outlook.” The Stockholm based line was started by former H&M colleagues Roland Hjort, Lena Patriksson and Jonas Clason in 1999. They’re work gaining much attention these days and for all the right reasons.
