Some nice video action from Secret Forts, a peek into the world of NY outerwear label Owner Operator. “Launching their second season of classically inspired, mountain ready outerwear, Owner/Operator, the New York based, two man Mountain apparel making team, continues to evolve both technically and design-wise.”  Simple technical-wear with a classic feel made by a couple of snowboarders. Good stuff.

Wrangler sweater1 Wrangler Winter Sweaters

Fairisle, Navajo and a mish mash of the two collide is these festive sweaters from Wrangler. Makers of all things denim they turn their attentions to knitwear. Man cannot live on jeans alone. A lot going on pattern wise here so if you’re looking to keep a low profile then perhaps something more subdued would suit. However, there’s no better time to kick off a mulled wine and jazzy sweater party and this is the cardigan to do it in.

Kobayashi Setsumasa’s clothing line, formly known as General Research, gets some love from the Wallpaper*. We love how Setsumasa decided on when to work on his new collection. “When … Research have sold out of clothes, Setsumasa and associates simply disappear back up to their cabin in Mpunt Fuji. This is one set-up that is not out to prove anything other than continue developing their love for original utility garments.” Read the full story at Wallpaper*.

Selectism - Acne Autumn/Winter 2008 Sweaters

Its no doubt time for the knit sweaters to be pulled out of storage and be ready for the days to come. Or if you’re like me and purge your garments every season you’ll be looking for some new wears to keep your warm. Acne has a nice selection of sweaters and cardigans for the autumn months. Blackbird showcases a few of them. The "Slick Zip" vest is a favorite with its un-traditional zipper replacing the usual button treatments.

Narrative Bond Autumn/Winter 2008

Narrative  are a U.K based footwear brand that were established four seasons ago. Its creator Scott Emerson previously worked as head buyer of men’s footwear at Kurt Geiger, which in turn controls the footwear concessions in Harrods, Liberty and Selfridges.

Made in Italy, Narrative pride themselves on being high quality product without an exorbitant price. The line is inspired by a mixture of luxury Japanese sportswear, workwear, an English classic look and mod-ish forms.

A noted point Scott made was that, “Most modern guys change their look from day to day – from tailored to American workwear, denim, classic and so on. I wanted to produce a comprehensive story (or narrative) that enabled the customer to cherry pick the right shoes from my collection to fit the moment.”
