Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots for Leffot for GlobalGiving Charity

Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots for Charity

Wolverine 1000 Mile and New York’s Leffot have teamed up to auction off a pair of their collaborative Wolverine 721 LTD Boots. The auction proceeds benefit the GlobalGiving project helping orphans in Japan rebuild after the tragic tsunami this past March 2011. The boot is based on an archival pattern from the Wolverine collection and is made from Horween shell cordovan leather. 1,000, hand-numbered pairs are being produced; the auction is for #0001.

Bidding has begun on eBay for the auction. We’re up to $610 at the moment. A very worthy cause.

More Wolverine 1000 Miles Boots for Autumn 2011

A new addition to the Autumn Winter 2011 offering from the Wolverine. Their new  1000 Mile boots – all made in the U.S.A. – get a upgrade with Horween “inferno” leather and a stacked leather outsole. Personally, “inferno” leather sounds a bit scary to me. Too much Dante on their feet. They’ll set you back around $325.

selectism - (capsule) NY | Wolverine 1000 Mile

We’ve been fans of (a small portion of) the Wolverine 1000 Mile collection since its initial launch. This trio of baseball glove leather boots – the Brendel, a 5inch chukka wedge -  shown at (capsule) NY, gives us a little more to love from the Rockford, MI-based brand. Also notable, the popular Addison boot will take three two-tone color schemes for Autumn/Winter 2011.

Check the Addison boots and more direct shots of the baseball glove leather boots after the jump.

selectism - wolverine 100 mile autumn 2010

We previewed the handsome Addison boot from Wolverine’s 1000 Mile Collection back in late January, and are now able to share it’s low-cut brother – the Bradford. This shoe is part of the autumn 1000 Mile Collection, which expands the line beyond the original boot and also includes the Gentleman, Garrison, and Gentry sub-lines.

For ladies hankering for some heritage based footwear, Wolverine’s got you covered as well this autumn.

Selectism - Project LV | Wolverine No. 1883 "Preston" Shoes

We’ve known Wolverine through their successful “1000 Mile” boot line, but these “Preston” shoes from their “No. 1883″ collection charmed us at Project LV. “Distinctive style and expert craftsmanship combine to create the Preston. A supple full-grain leather upper is highlighted with contrast stitching while a full-leather over foam footbed cradles the foot, providing all-day comfort.”

Wolverine Boot Heritage Collection

wolverine boot heritage collection Wolverine Boot Heritage Collection

American workwear activist, Michael Williams, brings us some first looks at the Wolverine Boot Heritage Collection coming soon to doors near you. “Maybe there is hope for classic American brands. Wolverine, the 125+ year old boot maker, is launching a heritage collection this coming fall with a selection of boots made right in one of Wolverine’s U.S. factories…The boots are made from beautiful leather, have good detailing and are in classic shapes. I love it when a company keeps it simple and falls back on its roots for inspiration.”
