Now that we’ve featured more t-shirts than humanly necessary, we’re starting to wonder about the little things – you know, how to wear them and all that jazz. For us, the question is whether we roll the sleeves. Thankfully Won Hundred have made that heartbreakingly difficult decision for us, making the sleeves a contrast turn up. All it needs a few more rolls and this shirt will be good to go. (Paper Scissor Stone)

Taking a quick break from highlighting the futures market, we take a look at the autumn/winter 2010 shirting collection from Won Hundred. The Danish brand happily plays with pastel tones – green, blue, purple, and red the chosen flavors.

Minimally detailed, the shirts have a single button enclosure to the chest pocket, a pocket that sits nicely along the full plaid lines of the shirt body.

Selectism - Won Hundred "Missing Lines & Hard Shapes" Autumn/Winter 2010 Lookbook

The new Won Hundred Autumn/Winter 2010 lookbook arrived in our inbox this morning. Their inspiration is intriguing and the conceptual imagery is worth a view. Some notes on the line: “Inspired by the straight lines and hard shapes from the cubistic art, combined with the soft and natural influences from the collage art of the same era. Materials like wood, paper and all sorts of found objects are glued and taped together. While black, grey and white are key, this seasons colours range from spice brown to a dark duffel bag green accented a washed out aubergine and a muted jade green.”

Some new specials at Urban Outfitters in the form of denim from the Won Hundred line. “Nikolaj [of Won Hundred] was approached by Urban Outfitters buying director Lee Grace to submit a jean both specific and exclusive to Urban Outfitters that would exemplify the philosophy and aesthetic of Won Hundred whilst incorporating the Urban Outfitters look and feel. “The jeans made for Urban was one model in 3 simple washes, its called Dean and is the tightest of the 3 we have in our jeans range, made only for the Urban Outfitters customer’.”

Won Hundred Brass Windbreaker Jacket

Selectism - Won Hundred Brass Windbreaker Jacket

Here’s another windbreaker to consider for the Spring. “Danish brand Won Hundred once again bring their conceptual sensibilties in line with a classic aesthetic in the shape of this lightweight windbreaker style hooded jacket. Subtle detailing is effortlessly emobodied by the asymmetrical cut of the front fastenings that both button down and zip up. This is versatility at it’s most stylish.” Glassboutique has it.

Won Hundred Pour Chino

Yeah, yeah, it’s another sale piece. What do you expect? It’s sale season and we love a bargain. This time it’s these Won Hundred chinos, down to £54 (from 90). We’ve got history with these trousers, having featured them extensively back in the day (aka a few months ago). They’re a simple, easy (and now cheap) alternative to denim and, unless the wide leg takes over extremely quickly, won’t be out of fashion for years yet. (Three Threads)

Take a leap to see another pic of these.

Won Hundred ‘Switch’ Jacket

13 November 2009, 14.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

selectism - won-hundred-switch-jacket

Here’s another piece from Won Hundred that we haven’t seen in their usual retailers. We like this because the lapels are the kind that’s usually used in double breasted peacoats and Won have adapted it to a single breasted style. We also like the cropped length, making it a little easier to wear for the shorter guy. These are small details but, as we all know, it’s the little things that count in menswear. (Won Hundred)

Won Hundred ‘Sonic’ Denim Jacket

02 November 2009, 14.30 | Posted in Denim | No comments »

selectism - won-hundred-sonic-denim-jacketDespite the flood of hats, scarves and gloves into stores, the seasons are still in transition. Which means you can still get away with a piece like this denim jacket, provided you wear a warm jumper underneath. The thing we like about this jacket is the fact that it has four pockets instead of the usual two, meaning you’ll have somewhere to put your hands when you’re standing about trying to look cool. The (fake) fur collar and lining ain’t too bad either. And for those not well versed in Danish Kroner, the price adds up to around 160 Euros. (Won Hundred)

Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2009 Preview

Selectism - Won Hundred Spring/Summer 2009 Preview

Copenhagen’s Won Hundred previews their Spring/Summer 2009 collection, "LOVE, HATE, and Everything in Between." The menswear side of the collection takes inspiration from "from David Lynch and Jean Michel Basquiat´s casual approach to the finer things in life. Whereas lynch represents the more formal side and JMB the chaotic indifferent interpretation of social life."
