Brady bags have been around since the late 1800s, when the company was founded in Birmingham, England. Traditional production methods were applied to fine canvas, which was combined with English bridle leather and made to fasten with brass pieces for this exclusive line of bags for YMC.

Seeing some familiar but classic silhouettes here. We favor the zipper sack because it looks a little like a stolen money bag from the mid 1900s and we are tough as nails [not]. Fine array of colors, too, especially that searing khaki. Too strong a word, perhaps, but it seems to gleam on the computer screen. Speaking of, you can pick these up online for carrying things in the early 2000s.

Undertones of bygone days reign in YMC’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, this time recalling an England before everyone was connected by smartphones: “a more innocent but infinitely freer place where the summers really did seem to last forever.” We’ll buy some of that, as the looks here are light and fairly timeless. Silk, light cotton, and canvas hold court; the latter in a pretty dope waxed duffle coat. The color palette also hits on the theme with hopeful blues contrasting tallowy earth tones.

While the themes of so many of this year’s collections directly referencing, and often lamenting, what we’re missing from the past is not anything new, it is especially poignant as technological advances in connectivity continue coming to a head and continue making it harder for people to look one another in the eyes. Just saying—it makes us glad that clothes are still clothes and we can still have enjoy just wearing them.

Camo tends to divide people and we fully understand that many of you wouldn’t touch it with a barge-pole. The fear that you’ll end up looking like some sort of urban, new world order vigilante is present in all of us. However, YMC has a particular knack of making the seemingly unwearable, wearable. Various elements of military have been present in the majority of their past collections, and while this camo shirt certainly isn’t subtle, if you’re a fan of layering up it’s a great way to make friends with camouflage without entering into a serious relationship with it. New collection time! So you should sound the horns, start a drumroll and run outside, screaming at anyone passing by in sheer unadulterated joy. Or you can just read this, one of the two. YMC have just released images of their AW11 collection which is rather trendtastic. We’re fans of the women’s collection – maybe even more than the men’s – so you can see that as well after the leap.

You Must Create (YMC) has been crafting great menswear for quite awhile. This season, they’ve taken the traditional hunting pattern shirt and designed the piece with a suede elbow patch accents. The shirt features: 100% Premium Cotton, single chest pocket with closure, contrast buttons and the piece is limited. The dark navy sets the tone for the shirt. This shirt would make for a pretty good lightweight over-shirt jacket for the Spring, or you can layer it over a thermal underneath your winter coat. END has them.

We’re going cuckoo for floral here at SL. We’re sure some folks would call this trend hopping, but we like what we like – and it’s not like we’re not wearing oxfords anymore. We just don’t have to wear them every day. In fact, we’d say they’re just as timeless as an oxford. (Oi Polloi)
