This season has definitely seen a comeback for the plan oxford shoe and while that’s great and all, that does leave very little space for those for want to be just a little bit more original with their smart footwear. This YMC Canvas and Leather shoe give a little quirk as they keep the original leather upper whilst changing the rest to canvas. YouMustCreate (YMC) drops their fall/winter 2008/09 looks. We’re focusing in on the outwear jackets which vary from zip up hoodies, 100% knit wool cardigans, and a great long sleeve striped navy shirt. A great collection. YMC has released a sneak peek at its Autumn/Winter ‘08 collection. In addition to 40s and 50s style menswear ypou expect from them, featuring cotton western style shirts, kid leather biker jackets and Japanese Selvedge denim, the collection will also see the launch of a line of women’s wear. “YMC has collaborated with Brady, a classic British bag brand, to create a range of limited edition bags. Two traditional Brady designs have been reinterpreted by YMC, while Brady in response has restyled what has become a YMC classic.” The three bag collection includes a Duffle Bag, Fishing Satchel, and Zip Bag. All three bags have been “re-cut and re-pocketed” for an updated look.

If Dumb Donald from Fat Albert fame was to don an updated version of his eye-holed wool cap, he would surly pick YMC’s Beanie Hat for Spring/Summer 2008. Though not available in his choice purple, the YMC Beanie does come in mushroom and camel and retails for about 70$US.

YMC is another label that we have been closely watching over the past couple of seasons. Their new Spring/Summer 2008 collection just entered stores and we have already found a piece that really attracted out attention – the cable knit cardigan. The collar looks great, also the high buttons look good and for anybody that has ever tried on a piece like this will know, they also make sense.
