White shoes are always difficult to pull off and because of that, most people have just given up on them. This season we’re seeing more wearable white shoes than ever and the main reason for this is the contrast wooden soles. The best feature of these shoes is that they don’t have a brogue-ing detail on the toe cap, giving it a clean feel that some other white shoes lack. Get it from Farfetch.

A collection from Japan’s Yohji Yamamoto that did not make us over examine the garments would scare me. While I would not consider every garment a first choice, the details are spectacular. The use of fabrics and textile is what keeps us looking. Like music which requires time to absorb, the Autumn/Winter Yamamoto collection requires the same patience. (lefigaro)

The latest collaborative work between Dr. Martens and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y’s label for Autumn/Winter 2008 is now available. Featuring two colorways – black and royal blue – against their classic 10-eyelet boot, and Calf High Biker Boot, both Yohji boots include hidden side zippers,the iconic yellow Dr. Martens stitching and translucent sole as well as the Y’s brand signature.

Fans of Yohji Yamamoto may find the following three boots something to talk about (Badly Drawn Boy reference). The YY boots come in either black canvas or military leather, with the latter including a nice zip-up, The third boot is almost a sneaker like boot with its high-top baseballer silhouette. Following up on the successful work with Yohji Yamamoto on a womens line, Dr. Martens teams again for the release of a 10 Eye Boot under the Y’s casual label. Featuring a prominent royal blue leather, the Y’s colorway compliments the original Dr. Martens line well. Available now at Concepts.

Y’s Manadarina is an on going collaborative lines merging the minds of Yohji Yamamoto with Mandarina Duck.  As stated on their site, “Y’s Mandarina reflects the dynamic deisgn aesthetics of Y’s combined with the utilitarian element of Mandarina Duck. The fusion brings a new dimension of fashion to the heart of their technical world.”

The Spring/Summer 2008 mens collection is everything we would expect in travel goods from this tag team. Of particular interest is the “Big Shopper, ” the “Backpack,” and the “Zipped Wallet.”
