LN-CC present some Autumn Winter action from Yuketen. The American-Japanese company continues to offer some incredible hard-wearing footwear for those who like their shoes as far away from slim and sleek as possible.

Vibram lives on, joined by the zig-zag sole for anyone averse to that bright white grip. The leopard print boat shoe is loud, proud but somehow doesn’t make us think of Joan Collins. Of course the usual styles continue with work boot, moccasin and hunting shoe inspired creations.

Another Christmas list idea. Start throwing out those hints now, this fob is 100% cordovan goodness. We’re not sure what the leather equivalent of the denim Texas Tuxedo is, but if you want to make a full on luxury hide statement match this to your Cordovan shoes and belt and let the sweet times roll. Sundays are always a good day for reflecting on current collection. Here’s a look at a few of the many shoes and boots found in the Yuketen Autumn/Winter 2011 collection.  The leopard print ranger shoe, shown above, is one of the more unique looks from the collection. The crepe sole works against the leather quarter panels well, but we do wonder on the longevity of this look over time. Then again, fashion is seasonal; you can always move onto another pair. Dig through the looks for shades of mocassins, chukka boots and many others.

Our admiration for Mr Matsuda’s work at Yuketen is no secret. A label that seems to get it right time after time, this offering over at Coggles is another in a long line of satisfyingly chunky shoes. The Country Ranger deck shoe is a substantial pice of footwear. Crepe sole, leather laces, two tone suede and all contructed using handmade moccasin techniques. The stitching once again the star of the show.

Yuketen really know their way around a piece of leather. They’ve chosen deerskin for this one and in doing so have created a tote so soft you’ll want to carry it gently pressed up against your face. This really is quite the looker, reinforced leather base, sturdy handles, buckle top and cotton lining. Oi Polloi assure us this comes with that new leather bag smell at no extra cost.

Yuketen’s A/W range has recently begun to filter onto the shelves of retailers around the globe, with a number of revised classics having resurfaced for the new season alongside several more progressive styles. Exploring the later, we thought it apt to highlight the Wingtip Ghillie – a standout addition to their eclectic footwear family. The Wingtip Ghillie has been handcrafted in California, as are all of their products, and sits atop a thick ripple sole; made from beautifully rich black leather with acorn contrast stitching, the shoe is nicely finished with rustic brogue detailing across the toe caps. Without blowing out the full collection in a quick post, we stick to a few looks at Yuketen’s work with rattlesnake skin against their chukka, deck, and slip-on loafers. We love them. Patterns on the feet are turning out some aggressive takes that any daring gentleman could pull off.

Yuki Matsuda, delivers a new release for Yuketen Collection. The classic and refinted piece “by master American craftsman.” The shoe offers a “hand-stitched leather uppers, heavy duty storm welted vibram christy wedge outsole and leather laces.” The leather is a dark ox blood and the shoe is limited. All handmade in the USA a great piece for the new season. The shoe looks like a hybrid between a boat shoe and work boot. I really like the blend of the two styles and it shows how the style of menswear’s transition. The best of blue and white collar styles of shoes in one. It’s available at RevolverSF.
