Brainchild of musician/designer Michael McCaleb, Zuriick released their first shoe in 2005. The company bio relays the ideas of a “minimalist approach” with a “reliance on quality materials is leading Zuriick into a new, unique future.” The “Reuben Shoe in Raven” is a low profile lace-up with a stitched leather sole. “A slight heel to give swing to your step,” is exactly how you’ll feel wearing these shoes. The shoe carries a black canvas shell with waxed cotton round laces. The full leather lining would make to be a really comfortable shoe after a couple wears. A great summer piece with socks or no socks, its really your choice. (b)

Alter has this solid set of canvas shoes from the Zuriick line. The carbon colorway in the Ake Pirate shoe is just clean and neutral. Seeing as it is close to grey, they will undoubtably work with almost anything. As usual, we recommend you wear them out to their death. They’ll set you back 55$US a pair.

Weighing in at 68$US is a nice pair of side zip, mid-top canvas trainers from the Zuriick family. The “Kettle Mid” is a black canvas finished, possibly slip on sneaker with just a hint of touches around the vulcanization. A simple and to the point treatment. The price point is proper. My favorite pair of slip-on sneakers at the moment come from Zuriick with their Ake model. The green vulcanized sole against the black canvas upper is simply on point and pricepoint is pretty damn good too. A great look for the Summer. Available now from Need Supply Co. for 55$US.
